          Sir David Philip Lane (born 1 July 1952) is a British immunologist, molecular biologist and cancer researcher.

          He is currently working in the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology at the Karolinska Institute and is Chairman of Chugai Pharmabody.

          David Lane, who has died aged 88, was an outstanding and admired Dublin surgeon and an accomplished musician.
